Community Advisory Board meetings are held quarterly for all NAICA’s shelter programs. Community Advisory Board (CAB) for Provider Facilities/ Programs Serving Homeless Individuals, Elected Officials, and Community Boards were developed by the NYC Department of Homeless Services to build relationships with elected officials, the community boards, and other key community stakeholders (clergy leaders, community leaders, precinct officers, leaders of local community-based organizations, etc.) as well as to facilitate and increase engagement with surrounding neighbors. The CAB is essential for breaking down barriers and creating a healthy, loving, and compassionate environment with the Providers who serve the homeless population. NAICA’s goal is to increase transparency and community trust and empower the community to play an integral role in welcoming our clients.
